A DJ in the Territories

Deidre co-wrote “A DJ in the Territories” with director Mohammed Abugeth, a forthcoming short fiction film that was shortlisted for the 2022 Palestinian Sunbird Production Award Competition and fully funded on Kickstarter.

Shot on location in Jordan and performed in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, the film follows a young Palestinian DJ who uses music, light, and recorded war sounds to defend his hilltop home.

The film is complete and is being submitted to international film festivals.

Log line: “A musician uses his DJ set to defend what is left of his country.”
