A DJ in the Territories

Deidre co-wrote “A DJ in the Territories” with director Mohammed Abugeth, a forthcoming short fiction film that was shortlisted for the 2022 Palestinian Sunbird Production Award Competition and fully funded on Kickstarter.

Shot on location in Jordan and performed in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, the film follows a young Palestinian DJ who uses music, light, and recorded war sounds to defend his hilltop home.

The film is currently picture-locked and in post-production between Berlin and Norway, with completion expected in June 2026. It is being prepared for submission to international film festivals.
